Flow
Privacy Policy
Effective July 15, 2026
Flow is a personal-finance app for tracking spending, subscriptions, budgets, goals, and investments. This Privacy Policy explains how Flow handles information when you use the app.
Our approach
Your financial records are designed to stay under your control. Flow does not sell personal information, use it for cross-app advertising, or use your financial records to build advertising profiles.
Information stored by Flow
Flow stores the information you enter or create in the app, such as transaction details, account balances, budgets, subscriptions, goals, categories, notes, and investment holdings. By default, this information is stored locally on your device.
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple, Flow stores the Apple-provided user identifier and, if Apple provides them, your name and email address, locally on your device. Flow does not operate an account server for these details.
iCloud synchronization
iCloud synchronization is optional. If you turn it on, Flow synchronizes the data needed for that feature through your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit. Apple handles that service under its own privacy policy and account settings. You can turn synchronization off in Flow or in your device settings.
Subscriptions and purchases
Flow subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Flow receives subscription status information needed to unlock the features you purchased. We do not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Market data and external services
When you look up a financial instrument or refresh a market quote, Flow sends the symbol or search term and standard network information, such as your IP address, to the relevant market-data provider. Those providers handle their services under their own policies.
Some versions of Flow may let you connect an AI provider that you choose and configure. When you actively use that feature, your prompt and the information you include in it may be sent to that provider to generate a response. Review the provider's privacy policy before using an external AI connection.
Camera, photos, microphone, and speech
Flow requests access to these features only when you choose to use them. Receipt text recognition is performed on-device. Images, voice input, and recognized text remain on your device unless you choose to include them in an external AI request or enable a feature that transmits them.
Analytics and tracking
Flow does not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can manage app permissions in your device settings, disable iCloud synchronization, sign out of Sign in with Apple, and delete your locally stored Flow data by removing it in the app or deleting the app. Data previously synchronized to iCloud may also need to be managed through your Apple account and iCloud settings.
Security
We use platform security features and reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by Flow. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and you should keep your device and Apple Account secure.
Children's privacy
Flow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Flow changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
