Odo
Privacy Policy
Effective August 29, 2026
Odo is a bike odometer that records your rides, tracks maintenance, and generates ride cards. This Privacy Policy explains how Odo handles information when you use the app.
Our approach
Odo does not operate a server for your rides, bikes, health data, or maintenance records. They are stored on your device and, through Apple CloudKit, in your own private iCloud database. We cannot read them. Odo does not sell personal information, does not use it for cross-app advertising, and does not build advertising profiles.
Location and route data
Odo uses your location to record the route, distance, elevation, and speed of a ride. Recording continues in the background so that locking your screen or switching apps does not break a ride into fragments. Location data is written to your device and synchronized only through your private iCloud database. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
Health data
If you turn on the Health integration, Odo writes each ride to Apple Health as a workout, including the workout route, distance, and active energy. It also reads heart rate, active energy, body mass, and date of birth to enrich ride details and estimate power. Health data is exchanged only between Odo and Apple Health on your device. Odo does not transmit health data off the device, does not sell it, and does not use it for advertising. You can turn the integration off in Odo, and manage permissions in the Health app at any time.
iCloud synchronization
Odo synchronizes your data through your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit, so your bikes and rides follow your Apple Account across your devices. Apple handles that service under its own privacy policy and account settings. You can manage or disable iCloud for Odo in your device settings.
Photos
Odo can add a bike photo you choose and can save a generated ride card to your photo library. Odo only writes the images you ask it to save; it does not browse or upload your photo library.
Notifications
Odo schedules local notifications on your device to remind you when a maintenance item is due. Scheduling is handled by iOS on-device and does not require sending your data to us.
Subscriptions and purchases
Odo purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Odo uses RevenueCat to coordinate purchase status and Pro entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase history, product and subscription status, country or region information supplied with the purchase, and an anonymous app user identifier generated by the SDK. Odo does not send RevenueCat your rides, routes, bikes, maintenance records, photos, or Health data. Apple processes the payment; Odo does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Analytics and tracking
Odo does not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking. RevenueCat is used for purchase operations and purchase analytics, not advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can manage location, Health, notification, and photo permissions in your device settings, turn the Health integration off inside Odo, and erase Odo's ride, bike, and maintenance data using Settings › Erase all data inside the app. Deleting the app also removes its local data. Data previously synchronized to iCloud may also need to be managed through your Apple Account and iCloud settings. App Store purchase records are managed through your Apple Account; RevenueCat retains the purchase and entitlement information needed to provide and restore Odo Pro.
Security
We use platform security features and reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by Odo. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and you should keep your device and Apple Account secure.
Children's privacy
Odo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Odo changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
